Feels cheaply made. Not on par with other equipment

I have used this for 1 and a half seasons now. It works well enough if you keep up with the snow. Living in NE Ohio I definitely can't let the snow get up past 6 inches before I go out. But that's not my big issue. There are metal parts at the bottom of the snowblower that are supposed to glide along the cement. Those have now broken on me 3 times. After 2-3 times of using it. I would expect a part that is at the front of the snowblower would be better made to take a beating.
Overall, I would pass on this. The plastic design just isn't cut out for dragging along cement for an hour.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this 22” for Christmas and have already put it through the test with a 6-8” snow and a 17” snowfall. Thoroughly impressed! It took a bit of pushing and pulling to clear the 17” but it actually got it done for 2 properties and a commercial shopping center sidewalk. Definitely a new fan of greenworks

Works well with dry fluffy snow. Wet snow creates issues for this “thrower”. I do like the “thrower” because it does save me time. Good thing I have an extra battery because the “thrower” needed two batteries to complete my driveway and sidewalk. Stores easily too.

Great Design Improvements!

The 22” 80 volt snowblower has many good design improvements over the 20” version I also own. The new auger can clear down to bare sidewalk on an even surface. The wider and deeper unit clears my large driveway in very short time. It has even performed well with wet heavy snows that have clogged the discharge chutes of other gas powered snowblowers I have used. My square footage to be cleared is large enough that I need a second battery to get it done without waiting. However the rapid charger does a good job of recharging the battery in about 1/2 hour or less. So you could see what your experience is like before ordering additional batteries. I like the skids and discharge chute directional handle better on this model compared to the 20” model. I also like the new handle design. It can be very easily folded and unfolded to conserve on garage storage space. My 20” model has also performed well but I very much like the design changes made on this model.

Big upgrade over the 20-in

I have to say I was quite impressed with the additional features that they packed onto the 22-in model vs the 20-in 80v model that I previously had.
The additional slot for the extra battery is really impressive -- especially when you're out away from the garage doing the front sidewalks.
The instructions on assembly are terrible. I had a really hard time figuring out what each picture meant, but eventually used process of elimination to put everything together.

Always good with puffy snow, but can bog down with even 4” of heavy stuff. Have been watching to see if Greenworks will bring out a more powerful auger-drive upgrade.

Thank you for your ongoing support. It is unfortunate to read that you are not overly satisfied with this product. When using any snow thrower on wet/heavy snow, there is a chance of clogging. Often, the reason for this is that the speed of the impeller causes wet snow/slush to freeze. For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. We thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback in this matter. Useless

More than 8” of snow and it does nothing and even that is a struggle. More effort to take it out and use it vs just shoveling. Now the battery is totally dead. Barely used this. Useless. Very disappointed I paid so much for this piece of junk.

When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place.
