Worked surprisingly well. Very happy with it. The first time I used it I was a little disappointed - but it was a very light snow. Maybe half an inch and very "wispy". I also had the chute angled lower than I though. I thought I had it all the way up and I didn't. So, that first snow fall was a bit of a let down. But it seems like it actually worked better with more snow. We got like 6 inches, I angled the chute correctly, and it was tossing the snow like 10 feet. Cleared it no problem. I used it several times this winter and the battery lasted long enough for me to do my sidewalk, my 2 car driveway, and both neighbors on either sides sidewalk - with a little battery left to spare (maybe 10%? Guessing)

Poor battery life

I have had mine foe a few years and have maybe used it 10 times. The battery won't stay charged.

We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Please know that our batteries are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the owner’s manual period from the date of purchase.
Should you continue to experience a problem with the battery and charger, simply submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). I got my GW 20" 80V snowthrower as a gift several years ago and use it for my patios here in Park City, Utah. Life at 7,000 feet includes long winters and lots of snow. Today I went out to blow 9" of new snow off of my driveway with my big two stage snowblower and it died right after I started. Broken auger cable and a LONG driveway with lots of snow. I'd never done a big snow removal with my GW 20" 80V Lithium battery powered snow thrower. It devoured the snow and saved the day. I'm a believer. GW stands behind their products too. I had a problem with a bad circuit board early on and they replaced it. The fix was easy and it's still operating perfectly several years later. I think shoppers should hear from real buyers and that is why I wrote this review. 5 stars and worth every penny!

Works great but buyer beware...

I have several of their tools. This does a great job as long as the snow isn't too wet and heavy. Battery life is pretty good too. Here is the problem. The drive belt is considered a "wearable item" thus only has a 90 day warranty. I get that. The real problem is that you cannot just order the belt. You have to order the whole impeller assembly which costs quite a bit more. That is ridiculous. Especially considering my manual shows it as separate item (bait and switch?)! Certainly they have an OEM part number for the belt but for whatever reason they won't give it out. There are countless places to buy belts from if only they would give a part number/specs.

For best use in heavy snow types, you will want to move less at once. Once a full pass has been completed, only move about a third of the width of the unit with each pass going forward. This will help with the load acting against the unit and should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. I LOVE this blower! The battery that I received with the blower was defective but Greenworks quickly resolved it and sent me a new battery. It has exceeded my expectations and I am only sorry I didn't switch to an electric blower sooner! So much easier and just as good if not better then my previous gas blower and corded blower. Worth the money. I am looking forward to trying new cordless products.

Great machine for medium duty

The first day I used it the battery needed to be charged before I was half way done. There was 8-10 inches of heavy snow. It's a good idea to get a spare battery

LOVED THE PRODUCT

I bought this at the right time. We had 22 inches of snow and I had no problem keeping my driveway nice and clean. The best thing with this product is the easy start and no wires required. My last snowblower was cord and I use to have my kid help me with wire management but with this product, you are ready to go with no other help.
