[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received today and tried it out. I'm impressed with the speed control and how easy it is to insert new line. Also the larger line size is a plus, compared to my old unit which went through a lot of line.

They’ll figure the line feeder some day

A decent trimmer for sure. But a couple of seasons on now and the line won’t feed. Hours spent popping off the pieces and aligning arrows… but all to no avail now. .

Hello Mckooy.
Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to hear of your experience with the trimmer line. When you string trimmer line is not feeding, common causes include a clogged or worn-out trimmer head, the wrong type of line, or a broken or damaged housing. You can try cleaning the head, ensuring the correct line is used, and checking for damage to the housing. We would like to get in touch to ensure that your tool is operating up to our performance standards, please start a Live chat on (www.greenworkstools.com) or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 so, our experts can discuss your experience.

On its 8th season

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace my 7 year old 60v unit that I accidentally damaged. Great products. My 60v mower is into its 8th season going strong. No gas, no oil, no plugs, no pull start, just quiet efficiency. Batteries as strong as ever. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a green Works mower just over two years ago. I’m so pleased with it. I just purchased a green works string trimmer to replace my current gas powered one. I’m very excited to try it. Been very pleased with the quality so far of Green works products.

Decent trimmer, poor battery life
on April 3, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trimmer is very slow to ramp up (takes 3-4 seconds to get to usable speed), but once there it's nice and powerful and trims well.
Main complaint is battery. I have a pair of the 2.5AH batteries, advertised as giving up to 50 minutes use each. I'm lucky if I can get 10 minutes of continuous trimming before they are out of energy and need a 45 minute recharge. I don't know where the 50-minutes comes from; maybe walking around doing little touch-up trims?
It is certainly not 50 minutes of continuous use cutting grass! Mind you, these aren't heavily used batteries near the end of their life; I've got maybe a half dozen charges on each.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Olem.
Thank you for sharing your experience. High-power string trimmers can consume battery life quickly, especially when used for extended periods or when dealing with thick vegetation, but runtime can vary depending on the battery capacity and the trimmer's setting. The trimmers variable speed controls, allow you to adjust the power for different cutting conditions and potentially extend battery life. We hope these tips provide a better user experience. If you would like us to investigate the runtime you are getting, please start a Live chat on www.greenworkstools.com or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. So, our experts can discuss your experience; please have your unit, battery and charger with you along with the model and serial number to complete troubleshooting to ensure quick resolution is provided.
