[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first electric trimmer and it's got power behind the battery! The charge lasts about an hour, so plenty enough time to get what I need done in the yard. Recharging is quick and it is light weight.

To help troubleshoot, we recommend first ensuring the battery is fully seated in the charger and that the charger is plugged into a working outlet. Check the charger indicator lights for any flashing patterns, as these can signal temperature-related delays or charging issues. If the battery was stored in a very cold or hot environment, allow it to return to room temperature before attempting to charge again. It can also help to remove and reinsert the battery a few times to ensure proper contact. If the battery still does not respond on the charger after these steps, it may indicate an issue within the battery pack itself, and we recommend reaching out to Greenworks success for assistance. Superior, workhorse of a product. Used it on an on-going community park fire abatement and beautification project. 6' weeds must be completely dry. Otherwise, they wrap around the head.

I waited a few months to add this trimmer to my Greenworks pro 80V system. My rural property needs a trimmer that can handle heavy brush. On it's test drive with the supplied string I was able to take out a patch where I wanted to plant fruit trees. It handled it great. I need to play with the shoulder strap for the right length (definitely needed).

Heavy and big...difficult to use

I bought this unit after having a great experience with the Greenworks leaf blower (best yard tool ever). But this unit is very big, heavy, and difficult to use unless you're a pro football linebacker. Also, the strings are cut frequently and the unit does not automatically compensate. I do not recommend this unit.

The unit must be turned on and you will need to tap the bump knob on the ground to release additional line. Trimmer line of about 1/4" will feed out each time you bump the head. As long the mechanics for the line release are understood and exercised you should have no issues releasing line. We hope this information has been helpful.
