Good tool, great value

I bought this recently and am very happy with it so far. It has plenty of power for clearing thick weeds. The line feed isn't terribly smooth but that is a small inconvenience. Since I'm jist maintaining around my 3/4 acre, the 2.5 A bettery lasts me plenty long enough and doesnt take too long to charge. I was able to find a cheap ryobi blower attachment that worked seamlessly with the greenworks trimmer motor. The only other (very) minor detractor is that is doesn't sit upright when I set it down, it wants to lay on its side. For the price paid I am extremely satisfied with my purchase

Cuts well

On the first day of use it went pretty smooth. The first time turning it on the head popped off pretty fast. Just make sure it’s tight before first use. Same thing with the string. Make sure it’s installed correctly. Other than that it works well and it’s pretty light.

I bought this on Greenworks site and am happy with the Trimmer. I have the battery powered push lawn mower, as well and am very impressed with this company.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer is outstanding and handles the toughest jobs! The parts are a bit difficult to get as it relates to the trimmer head, but all in all a great buy and does the job better than gas powered trimmers.

Get a Different String Trimmer
on July 1, 2024
Posted by: Colorado Bill
I've had the trimmer for a little over a year and I've always had a problem with the string breaking internally so I have to take the head off and rethread the string. Now it also won't feed using the bump. Essentially worthless.

Hello Colorado Bill

Trimmer line breaks for a variety of reasons. Make sure you’re following your trimmer’s specific guidelines. Using the full length of the line will cause the line will break off, the only part of the trimmer that does any of the work is the very tip of the line.
Another reason the line breaks often, if the trimmer touches an object such as the concrete walk or a tree or anything else too close to the head itself, then the line will break off and slip back into the head assembly, causing the user to take apart and restring. Also trying to cut weeds that are very thick and fast will cause the weeds to get in too far into the line and that will also break the line. Just make sure that you move very slowly when cutting large weeds. It will get you done much faster.
Lastly, make sure that you feed the line out often, waiting to feed the line out until it is too short, will also cause problems. We hope this will help you to solve your problem and you will have a more enjoyable user experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the blower and trimmer. Both units have the power equivalent to small gas engine.
