Check line condition: Worn, brittle, or tangled line can interrupt feed replace if needed.
Keep line length even: Uneven winding can cause the spool to jam.
When the spool is wound evenly and installed correctly, and the head is kept clear of debris, the bump feed system should advance line more consistently.
