My old trimmer broke down a few weeks ago. I had switched from a battery trimmer years ago to a 2-cycle one. At the time, battery powered yard tools were quite inferior to their gas and oil counterparts. Well, that 2-cycle finally bit the dust.
I went across the street to see if I could borrow my neighbors trimmer to clean up the rest of my yard, as I had a lot to trim. I was apprehensive at first when I saw she had this battery powered trimmer, as I am with a lot of battery powered tools like this, but that apprehension didn't last long.
Once I started using this thing, I was sold. I manically went behind my house and found a plethora of stuff to cut down, whilst cackling like an idiot, just because I wanted to see what this thing was really capable of.
Once I collected myself and finished cleaning up my yard, I returned the trimmer to my neighbor, thanked her, and promptly went inside and told my spouse I was going to spend some money. I immediately ordered the trimmer.
It's been working like a dream.
In the last few weeks since my trimmer purchase, I purchased some attachments for the trimmer, a chainsaw, & I have a mower en route to my house at this moment.
Superior to my old gas trimmer in every way. No more pulling the cord a dozen time to have it fire up, no fluid leaks. Push the button down and you’re good to go. Cuts everything down too. Went through very thick weeks on 1/3 of an acre with no effort. Should have switched to electric a long time ago.
Works well but did overheat when trimming in thick weeds.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Matthew C,
Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you are ultimately enjoying this unit! It is unfortunate to hear that the string trimmer struggled in some of the thicker weeds. As a general rule, when cutting tall grass with a string trimmer, cut from the top down, removing no more than 5 inches in each pass to prevent wrapping and overheating. Pros: Powerful trimmer! Nice balance. Love the attachment versatility. Great battery life. Cons: Slightly heavy, mainly because 80v battery is heavy. Takes about 1-2 seconds to full spin up/power
