Always something!

I have been having so many problems with Alienware monitors, that I’m pretty much turned off the brand. This latest monitor was amazing but after one day of moderate gaming, it dropped a pixel. I spent the last 2 days trying to bring it back through various methods. No luck. This is my third attempt to get a decent monitor in this line. The reason I keep trying is because the quality of the picture is some of the best I’ve seen. However I’m becoming fatigued with dealing with these issues. I intend to exchange this for one more and if it has defects I’ll be going to another brand. Consider yourself lucky if you get one of these without at least a minor defect. For these prices I expect perfection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great 1440p high resolution monitor for gaming

Great for fast-paced gaming with max 280hz refresh rate and 1440p delivers a nice crisp display. Needs to be connected to the DP for best results. Does require some tweaking to get the colours just right (I found the Creator preset worked the best for myself) and Nvidia settings need to be adjusted as well. Once calibrated display is amazing. Second Alienware monitor for a new second setup but my AW2720HF is still working great almost 5 years later - would recommend this monitor if it fits your budget.
