Run away from all Samsung

Stay away from this TV, and Samsung period.
The warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on.
I have had repair men to my house 4 times to fix an issue that is still not fixed. The latest is that the part is on backorder with no ETA. We are notified of this 60 minutes before they were due to arrive. Remember each visit requires you unmounting and remounting this TV. Samsung's response is "just wait". We bought 4 of these in our family. 3 of 4 have needed to be repaired and 2 have required multiple repairs. As someone who was all Samsung (TV, surround, washer, dryer, refrigerator) and completely invested in the Smart Things connectivity, I regret purchasing all of them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been shopping for a new TV for a while now and decided on the Q80D. It arrived early this afternoon and I am very impressed.
The picture is incredible and set up was a breeze. I chose to set up by my phone and it was a simple and smooth process.
I am very impressed by features that I didn't think I would care about. Most notably, Multi View. It is actually useful and not just gimmicky.
I will definitely recommend this TV to friends and family the next time I'm asked for a recommendation!
(If I discover any issues or annoyances - none so far - I will update this review.)

If I can't find the remote, I can use my phone to control it too. It’s lightweight, so hanging it on the wall was a breeze, and it looks stylish in my room. I’m so happy with it!

Great looking TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a reliable but old 1080p LED TV with the Q80D. Love the look of this TV! The blacks are well defined, and the colors are vibrant and really pop. Just watched a new 4k disc of Superman and it's the best I've ever seen the movie look.
The OS is pretty nice, though I did have a bit of a tough time finding the app section. Pleasantly surprised at the number of different video formats it plays on its own from a hard drive. I have a large collection of digital movies and was able to plug a 5tb hard drive into the USB port and play directly from it. Some older .avi files would not play but the newer .mkv and .mp4 files played without a problem, even the newest HEVC files. It has a wider range of capabilities than the 4k player I bought which is nice! Streaming apps available work fine, it streams smoothly. My only quibble with the OS aside from a bit of trouble finding the apps section is that once it starts auto playing the live TV app at startup, it's very difficult to stop it from doing so. I eventually uninstalled Samsung Live TV entirely to get it to stop auto playing at startup or when going into the list of attached devices, after more than a half hour of searching for other ways. Had it been easy to turn off all auto play features throughout the TV I might have given a five star review. Also did not like having to turn off the AI features manually. Don't need any of that, it just makes the TV look worse, faker. But all in all, very pleased with the purchase.

Great picture quality

We love the color and brightness of the screen. The picture is very real…. Feels like you could walk right into the scene. However, the sound is annoying. While watching, the sound will get real loud, then get soft. That was one reason we got rid of our old ZtV.
I would recommend this to a friend!
