You get what you pay for

I bought 2 of these. This is a nice monitor, but LG cheaped out on everything they could and did not really make it practical for use or to set up.
The charger is bulky and cumbersome to plug into power strips. The charger cable is VERY short. It only comes with a cheap HDMI cable.
The worst part for me is that it does not auto detect the input nor does it have a dedicated input selection button, so if you have 2 computers with 2 docking stations like I do, it makes it very impractical to use.
I’d return them if I could.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm enjoying the clarity of display. Been checking the affordable 4k monitor. I found 2 options. LG(current monitor) and a monitor from MSI. Easy to choose as LG has made a reliable mark in its industry. Just using it for my office purposes as a developer and regular operations like browsing, binge watching.
I highly recommend this product!!

Excellent Monitor

Purchased April 2025, got it for $229 on sale.
I use this as my secondary monitor off MacBook Air M2. Very crisp and color / brightness is excellent for bright (sunny) office as well as evening use.
I wanted a monitor that would extend past UHD (1920x1080) as I prefer more windows open on one screen. I am not running it on max resolution and it is great. Only clocking at 30hz but that is likely due to the adaptor I am using. Not a big deal for me as I'm not watching movies... just regular office work.
Very happy with this purchase.

Love the monitor itself, but the stand leaves much to be desired, it has no swivel or tilt on it. I can already feel my neck getting sore having to look up at it.

Really great value for money (especially on sale). Playing around with the settings and you can get it to really shine. Works great with MacBook Pro and PS5. HDR is basically useless but just avoid and it's a brilliant panel for the money
Pros:
Colours are very decent in non HDR
Resolution is fantastic
2 HDMI ports
Lightweight and no clunky external power supply
LG build and history
Vesa mount
No speakers (keeps it light and slim)
Brilliant for casual console gaming

HDR is basically useless, just avoid
Colours are good and with a little work can be great. Not easy to calibrate exactly but for 95% of cases it's more than fine
The stand, like other LG's, is a bit wobbly and not fantastic, but for the money it's fine Tilts slightly but no height adjustment
No dedicated input button, but it's two clicks in the menu to switch
USB C would have been nice but understandable at this price point

Magnificent Monitor

Just bought this LG UltraFine 27" 4K monitor a few days ago to replace my current LG UltraSlim 22" LED FHD monitor. It still performs like brand new since 2011 so I really do not need a new monitor. I was at Best Buy buying a new printer and viewed the monitors on display. This one really got my attention because when I stood back and looked at all of them, this one stood out because of the picture clarity, definition, brightness and overall design. Also, it was on sale from $299 to $229 and at this price, it's a steal.
I assembled it, turn on the power and was TOTALLY stunned at the picture quality. Yes, it is a 4K in comparison to my current one, BUT, I no longer need my reading glasses. The resolution is crystal clear, true colors. I pulled up a photo of me wearing a hot pink dress and the color was a perfect match. A true blue-hued pink. So much for not needing a new monitor until now. BEST purchase this year, next to my new 65" Samsung Smart TV.

Sea Sick from the Bobble Head Monitor

It looks good but it wobbles like crazy. Don't buy this one. Unfortunately I bought it for a new set up and didn't unbox it until after return and exchange was passed. Stuck with a bobble head monitor. My wife says it's making her sea sick.
