This is my second Vitamix, but the first one I had became ancient (it was called the sidewinder and was all metal)...I'm thrilled with my new one. Love it!
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Power
Replaced my 25+ machine. It is still working! Passed it along to my daughter to use up. I chose the basic 5200 model as it is the same I’ve had for all these years. The only difference is the soft start and updated look of metal.
I hope to get the same service from my new machine which did many smoothies for our large (10 total) family.
This is a staple in any kitchen as far as I’m concerned! Thanks Vitamix!
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Power
My 5200 works like a dream! I've made smoothies, hummus, purees, nut and seed butters in it. It is surprisingly quiet for how powerful the motor is. I look forward to continuing to use the blender for creating healthy, delicious dishes!
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Power
I like the 2 horsepower motor, and the variable speed control, but the size of the container needs to be larger. I always end up making 2 batches, which is a hassle. The blend quality gets worse the fuller the container gets, near the top, it takes a really long time to blend thoroughly.
I had been wanting a Vitamix for well over 2 years. I was hesitant to make the investment because of the high price tag, but I have ZERO regrets! It is well worth the price and it will last forever! I told myself I would invest in a Vitamix if I consistently made breakfast smoothies, and WOW! I was previously using a Kitchen Aid food processor and there would always be big chunks of frozen fruit left and pieces of spinach that wouldn't get fully blended. This machine is like no other! In less than 30 seconds I have a smooth whipped-like consistency smoothie. I have also used it to make sauces etc. I am in LOVE!
