This brand is very expensive!!…. but it WORKS!! Really really well. I had bought a much less expensive, different brand that said it did just as good and would make things smooth and all that marketing stuff, BUT it did not work well and in less than 6 weeks it stopped working. That money was down the drain and it never really did what I needed. THIS VITAMIX is worth EVERY penny!!!
I have a rare condition call Achalasia. My esophagus no longer moves food down into my stomach. So what I eat must be in a puréed or fine chop in sauces or gravy’s. If not, the food gets stuck midway down my esophagus and that can be painful and causes violent regurgitation and that food never reaches my stomach. I’ve lost 45+lbs. It’s been a rough year to say the least! I’m still figuring it all out, but getting this unit and getting recipes from vitamix has helped me find my new way of eating, for survival, as well as helping me to make things that are puréed but taste good so I can enjoy food again. Thank you Vitamix, thank you for the recipes, thank you for a machine that works really really well and gives me opportunities to create a meal that I can look forward to eating. This unit is not just a smoothie maker. It’s my life line.
If you are someone with swallowing issues and need puréed foods…. DO NOT HESITATE!!!…To invest in a vitamix!! It will make your life easier!!! It will give you options that other blenders can’t give you! It can be your life saver.

I have owned many high-end blenders in my 63 years, and this is, by far, the best one I've ever used. I sees use 3 times a week to make small batches of food for my dog, as well as making sauces and other things for my own use. Instead of creating a slurry of small piece like all of my previous blenders have, my Vitamix makes the smoothest, velvety mixtures I've ever made, without any piece I could make out without a microscope. I am deeply impressed.

30 years ago, I bought several blenders that were disappointments. I then decided to make the investment in myself and buy a VitaMix. From my 1st experience, I was hooked and will never go back.
