My first 5200 model was purchased around 2013, and used very often. Daily smoothies for many months/years. The canister began leaking/cracking but still usable. I decided to gift myself a new 5200 model Dec 2025. The original motor still runs though! When replacing it I got the exact same model.

My old Vitamix finally broke. I have been using it around 2-3 times daily for the last 16 years or so. The container and socket drive had enough. Instead of sending in for repair, husband bought me a new one. I was thrilled to find out there were more colors than standard black. This red model is a beauty and works like a dream. I tried using regular blender and food processor to get me by until it arrived. It was a 2 week nightmare but I got through. I am so happy with this blender and the Vitamix company. Some day I will send in my old model for repair. Thank you!

This is a fantastic blender. I love the size and I have since pureed roasted veggies for soup in here and i make my morning smoothie every morning and there's no chunks or pulp left behind. Really happy with this purchase and highly recommend to anyone that is on the fence.

I bought it for a narrow jar so that I can use less quantities but I felt like the machine is not as powerful as other models. Also couldn’t make dosa idli batter in it. I love the broader jar vitamix. That one is the life of my cooking.

Overpriced and Overhyped: My Disappointing Experie

around Vitamix. For the price they charge, I expected something exceptional. What I got was a loud, bulky machine that does the same job as blenders costing a fraction of the price. Yes, it blends — but so do many others without sounding like a jet engine in the kitchen.
Cleaning it is a pain, the size is impractical for regular countertops, and the so-called “durability” feels overstated for something this expensive. The presets are minimal, and for a product marketed as premium, the user experience feels dated.
The worst part? The value just isn’t there. You’re paying mostly for the brand name, not a noticeably better result. Unless you’re blending rocks every day, this is overkill and not worth the money.

We do have new modern options that might be more to your liking. If you are within 60 days of purchase, we are happy to set up a return for refund so you can get one more your style.
Also the best (and easiest) method to clean your container is to add some warm water to the container, a drop of dish soap and run on high for about 1 minute. Rinse and let dry!
