I have been using my Vitamix 5200 every day for the past 15 years.. It has performed perfectly the entire time with no issues at all. I use it mostly for smoothies, but I will occasionally make ice cream and soup as well.

Love the 5200. Had a different make that did what I wanted well, but I was never confident it could handle what I was tasking it with. The motor in the 5200 is superior, in this case you get what you pay for. It handles large quantities as well as small quantities. I have not found a need the personalized size attachment for the 5200.

was sick of replacing blenders every few years, searched the internet for something reliable and durable, this one came up and has overwhelming reviews and even a dedicated reddit. it might be too much for what i need, i make daily smoothies and it liquifies everything, they are the smoothest smoothies, there is nothing it cant handle, looking forward to years of hassle free blending

We've had this blender for a couple months now. Wow, should have bought it sooner to replace my sad old blender. We've made many shakes with frozen fruit, yogurt, kale, etc - all so easy and blended very smooth. Also used it to make "cream of..." soups that resulted in a very smooth, creamy texture. Clean up is easy if you use their recommendation - a couple drops of dish soap and fill with water about 1/4 full, run, then rinse well.

Powerful but container is not dishwasher safe

A deficiency of this powerful blender (Vitamix 5200) is that the ingredients Container is NOT dishwasher safe. I mistakenly assumed it would be dishwasher safe. Our diushwasher is hot water only but it might damage the container apparently. That's disappointing. I would not recommend this blender, at this price, due to that fact.

Hi! We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed in not being able to put your container in the dishwasher, however it is really easy to clean! Simply put some warm water and a drop of dish soap in the container and run on high for about 40-50 seconds, rinse and dry! That's all!
