This HAS TO BE THE VERY BEST BLENDER in the world! I have been using this model for over 10 years since I became a Vegan. I have cooked all kinds of stuff such as Cold Soups, Hot Bean Soups, Smoothies, Banana Ice Cream, etc… .

I've been surprised and pleased with this blender's performance and at how quietly it runs. I wasn't sure if I would care for the variable speed knob design. After using the variable speed knob, I really like it as it provides very tactile and precise control.

We bought this to replace the exact same model that we’ve had for almost 10years. It’s not the same tho…even after a couple of months of almost daily use, sometimes multiple times a day, it still has a plastic smell when running. Most disturbing is the hesitation as it turns on and when switching from variable into high speed. It still does the job as always but seems less powerful than earlier model and the motor runs so choppily that it seems about to break every time I use it. Too bad the quality went down as the price went up…just like everything else I guess.

The power is a bit disappointing. I use to blend soup with lots of cooked veggies, so already soft, but still takes a long time to puree. Would select higher powered style next time.
