I have had my Vitimix for over 10 years and it works as well as it did on day one. I keep it on my counter and use it almost every day. My daughter is now an adult and now that she is living on her own; I was so happy to buy her one too. She loves using it from mixing things, making smoothies, making homemade oat flour and even oatmilk. The Vitamix has so many uses!!!

Please know that new machines have a more sensitive thermal protection device in them, turning them off when they get too warm so they are not damaged. The best way to avoid this from happening is to make sure you take the machine to its highest speed within the first 5-7 seconds of blending and use the tamper.
