Heats up so quickly and when fully charged it lasts about 40-45 minutes. I love the flexibility of using it with or without the magnetic cord and that it is airplane safe. By running your hair through plates just one time it is straight. It is easy to curl or straighten, it evenly distributes heat and won't leave a crease or mark if you leave it on a certain spot too long. It doesn't leave your hair smelling burnt as some straighteners out there do.

This flat iron is absolutely awesome! Can't quite get over how efficient this thing is - but then again, it is a Dyson! There's nothing about it that I would improve upon. It has auto shut off, super quick temperature charge (able to reach desired temperature in 30 sec), convenience of cordless handle, 3 different temperature settings and the curvy design of the curler makes it almost impossible for me to accidentally burn my hand or face (I've burned my hands and side of my face countless times with other hot irons!). It even comes with the ability to disconnect the lithium battery so that I can travel with it on the plane. And, once I charge it fully, it lasts 30 - 40 minutes until my next battery charge.
I have a naturally straight hair but with aging, my hair became very brittle, weak and dull looking and I was no longer able to sport the straight hair style that I love. But with this Dyson flat iron, my young looking straight hair is back!! Now, with just few light strokes with the iron, my hair is straight and yet soft all day. As I got older, I gave up on daily washing in order to prevent unnecessary drying out of my hair and to limit hair split ends. But styling a hair that has not been freshly washed can be a big challenge, which often led to unhappy styling results on day 2 or 3. Which, obviously, meant bad hair day...which in turn, leads to...ugh, bad mood day. Not any more with this flat iron! Now, my hair looks beautifully straight and shiny even on those days. No one can tell that my hair is in between washes! My straightened hair feels really soft and can definitely feel that my hair has not damaged. The Dyson technology of checking on the temperature 100 times per second really seems to be effective.
Again, hands down, the BEST flat iron ever invented!!!!

Surprisingly refreshingly simple product with good results

I have been experimenting with this new Dyson hair straightener for quite a few days. I have used directly after a blow dry and I have used it days later, on dry, non washed hair for touch ups.
At first, I was curious about how it would work compared to the other, pricey straighteners that are already in my collection. I didn't think it could do any better.
But I am very pleasantly surprised.
First of all, it is absolutely faster. Absolutely. I have very thick hair and it usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes to straighten, in sections. With the Dyson it took about 15 minutes.
A touch up days later, even sectioning the hair, took less than ten minutes. Could have done it in five minutes easily.
I didn't think I'd care about the cordless feature but I realize it's what's been missing all my life. I swear that half the time in straightening my hair is continually moving the cord around the vanity. Now I can even move around a bit, answer my kids' questions while straightening, etc. It holds its charge very well and charges back up in a half hour or so. I put it on the cradle to charge when I step into the shower. Perfect.
It feels comfy in the hand. I usually stop to shake my hands out from discomfort while styling as I have arthritis. Don't have to do that here as the product has a nice weight and balance to it.
Lastly, I've noticed that other straighteners make a stick straight, plastered to the head look.
This Dyson straightener, however, gives hair a more "blown straight" look that feels a bit more "today" and modern. I am very pleased and will continue to use the straightener regularly. It's great.

I have normal, shoulder length curly 3A/B hair and hadn't straightened it in about 3 years. When I first discovered this product, I was really pleased to find how easy it was to use.
Setting up the machine was incredibly simple and the time it takes to heat up to the lowest setting is less than 30 seconds. A little indicator dings when it's ready to use and is safe if you place it down on a flat surface as it doesn't get hot itself like a traditional iron.
Using it, it's not too heavy and I didn't get tired doing my entire head. In fact, it took less than 15 minutes to do my entire head with zero tugging and only 1-2 passes needed to straighten my hair. Being a wireless device (you can attach the magnetic power cord though) makes it that much easier to use and shut down was quick too. The travel case that comes with it is nice and soft - and you don't have to wait for it to cool down before putting it inside.
My hair doesn't seem nearly as dry as it used to when I straightened my hair more often. It's bounced back to it's natural state of curly goodness and will definitely use this more going forward when I want a straight look.

I just started using the straightener and its truly like nothing I have ever used before.
For beginners, it is cordless. You can charge it and take it with you on the go and not have to worry about having to find a plug. That is is big. You still have the option to use it with the cord, which is nice if you have a lot of hair like me and get easily distracted while doing your hair. It takes about 40 minutes to fully charge which is great. Once you turn it on, it took about 30 seconds to get to the temperature that I wanted (410) and it beeps when its ready. It was great because I was actually on the phone and not paying attention to it the other day and once I heard the beep i knew I was ready to go and it was perfectly heated. I was also told that it turns off automatically if you forget it on, but I haven't been able to experience that since I haven't forgetting it on yet. Very nice to have that feature since we have all forgotten some kind of styling tool on before.
It's truly 1 pass and done. I have very thick wavy/curly hair, and 1 pass of the straightener and its ready. It's smooth, silky, shiny and no frizz. The plates are very interesting in the way that they move to your hair and form to the pieces that you're straightening.
It's a little heavier than a normal straightener, however, the weight actually is really helpful to have a smoother finish. I wasn't too bothered by the weight at all, though, there is a weight difference compared to your normal straightener.
My only negative comment is the fact that it had a lithium battery. It is what makes it cordless and amazing, however, if you travel a lot for work like I do, I tend to check in all my luggage so it's really hard for me to remember to put one more thing in my carry on and put it on airplane mode. THOUGH, very nice that it has a whole airplane mode and safety features that TSA can easily check on.
With all of that said, just like the blow dryer and air wrap, when it comes to hair products, they truly have been making the best products out there. My hair has seen extremely less damage since I have started using Dyson hair products.

This flatiron is EVERYTHING! It can be used corded or cord free. I usually use 440 degree heat on my hair with my BioIonic. I only need the middle setting. You do not have to apply a lot of pressure when ironing your hair either. It flows with your hair! I couldn’t wait to try it out. I straightened my hair, and both my daughters hair. It’s a bit heavy compared to your usual flat iron. I’m not sure how stylists will feel about that. I love the charging stand. It comes in such handy! The magnetic cord works, but it kept falling off as I maneuvered the flatiron. Overall it’s a 10! Throw out your old flatirons and make this investment!! It’s totally worth it! Dyson never disappoints!!

I am a die hard Dyson fan so when they came out with their Hair Dryer and then the Air Wrap Styler I was an early adopter. It is no exaggeration when told friends and family that the Air Wrap changed my life. It is the best hair tool that I have ever used - until now. Dyson has done it again with the Corrale Flat Iron. I no longer have to fear rain, fog or humidity. This amazing tool will smooth, waive and straighten your hair with little to no effort.
My hair is coarse and it an take 3 - 4 passes in order to smooth my hair with other flat irons. The Corrale achieved perfect results in one pass. It is cordless and it comes in a beautiful travel bag making the entire unit portable.
I will buy anything that has the Dyson name on it but I have to say their hair tools and now the flat iron has exceeded my expectations completely.
