Dyson's new hair straightener is functions as both a straightener and a curler. The curve edges help create the curls you would create with a curling wand or the ends you would get from a blow out.
Unlike other hair straightener, the pad that presses into your hair bends with you, which prevents the ugly crimping you would get if you leave a straightener on for too long. The good thing about using this as a straightener is that, it's a one time pass through and your hair is straight. This allows for less heat on your hair, which is a plus for a girl that uses heat on their hair every day!
Also, the cool part about the device is that it's cool to the touch. The top part (the opening) is cool, so it won't burn you if you touch it by accident. This makes it a lot easier and safer for novice hair curlers with straightener like myself.
Another feature that must be mention is that this is cordless. Unlike the dryer and there airwrap, the device is not connected to a bulky charger. You are able to use this cordless or while being charged. The cable that charges use the magnetic snap on technology that is used on the dyson hair dryer (attaching the nozzles). This makes it so easy to commute with from home to gym, etc.
There are two things that made this from a 5 star ratings it that, even tho the cordless design is awesome, but you can only use this for 30+ minutes before you need to charge again. So for someone with a lot of hair, it might take a while, depending on how much battery is left since the last use. The second thing is that, the wand picks up debris from your hand or hair. So if you have lotion on your hand that is already dried, the wand will pick it up. However, if you have product in your hair from the day before the edges of the iron will pick up the gunk. Though you can easily wipe this down, but knowing how all dyson products are sleek and clean, I expected a little more there.
All in all, this is a good product and I would definitely recommend this to my friends that are looking for a new straightener / curling wand.

I have been using the straightener for about a week and it’s quickly become my go-to Dyson product. I own the dryer and the air wrap, so at first I was a little weary of yet another product. I have generally been using the air wrap, only using the dryer for its diffuser when I wear my hair naturally curly. I would tend to spray my hair the next day and air wrap again - the straightener handles both the polish and the next day curls with precision. But the best part for me is the smaller details that make the straightening iron so easy and safe to use. Foremost, the product does its job and quickly. I can go from long, curly hair (2B) to straight hair in about 15 minutes. The ability of the plates to curve around the hair means that I can curl or beach wave my hair without pulling my hair out by clamping the iron for tension, it is and nearly fool-proof with the curved outside. These curls last longer than my air wrap for sure (although I still love the air wrap for wash days). The cool-touch edges also mean I can use both hands on the iron safely, and the cordless feature means I’m not knocking things off my vanity with the cord. I haven’t traveled outside the US yet, but the fact that this is dual voltage means it is definitely coming with me when I do (not being able to use my other Dyson products was such a bummer). I’m sure there are other features that are worth mentioning - the same heat technology precision as its other products, setting notification and auto-off, etc., but the features that would move the needle for me are just how well and fast it works, protecting my hair and hands in the process. If this is your first Dyson product, or you have the dryer, I say it is worth it. If you have the air wrap and want a fully polished look, I would put your money here if you’re looking around, but having had the air wrap for so long I had settled into that look, but now having this I don’t think I could go back. Dyson is definitely the best product out there and I’m impressed with how they can correct in hair tools what I always thought was user error!

Straight out of the box, this was an impressive product. The care of the packaging, the features, the WEIGHT and SIZE - all met the Dyson standard of expert technology and quality.
I've been using this product for about a week (and I will return later to add to this review). I have not been a regular flat iron user - I prefer a curling wand. More specifically, I prefer the Dyson AirWand acting as a curling wand :-), so using a flat iron came with a steep learning curve for me.
I find the Corrale a little bit on the heavy side - but I believe that is necessary for the appliance to facilitate the results it delivers.
It's fairly intuitive, and the little chimes and lights make using it an interactive experience, from the get-go. I like how long the heating plates are, and it isn't necessary come your hair before applying the heat - the plates are flexible and adjust themselves to your hair.
Because using a flat iron is new to me, I've had to learn how to hold and turn the appliance in order to get the wave in my hair that I desire. It was initially a bit awkward because of its size, but I can really feel that my hair isn't getting damaged. The curls I am able to get last all day, and the results are FAST.
Overall, I am very excited and pleased with the Corrale. It will require a bit more use for me to feel more masterful with my approach, but I am not bothered by that. Good results take a little bit of time and effort - and this appliance is worth it, imo.

I'm impressed with how portable and convenient it is to use. There was a burning smell as it was warming up during the first few uses. But after using it a few more times, that smell is gone. The iron glides through my hair easily, but not as smooth as my old CHI flat iron. I LOVE that it's cordless, heats up fast, and keeps the charge.

Finally... something that doesn't require me to wash my hair beforehand

I've waited for this for a long time, and it's finally here... a product that doesn't require me to wash my hair beforehand to style. I've gone through 2 straighteners where no matter how hard I try to curl my hair, the whole strand of hair doesn't curl nicely. But the heat on these plates are so even and it heats up super fast even on the hottest setting. It's cordless and has a charging stand that will look AMAZING on your vanity. I usually put all my hair tools in a drawer but this one I decided to leave on the table. I'm in love with the velvet pouch that comes with the product, you can put the straightener in even when it's hot. Just be sure to pull out the "airplane mode" tab when flying. There's also a little pouch to slide the tab in so it won't scratch the straightener. Overall, this straightens my hair in less than 5 minutes and I can curl it within 15 minutes. I have long hair down to my waist and the amount of time I spend on to style it now is cut to almost half. You won't be disappointed in this product I promise. The battery will last around 30-35 minutes on the highest heat setting. You can plug it in and use it at the same time if battery is running low. I personally like this more than the Airwrap. It's dual voltage so I can finally have a Dyson product that I can take out of the country with. I can't wait to start flying with this product.

I have been using the new Dyson Corrale straightener daily & it is a game changer! It is so easy to use & the results are stunning! I love that it is cordless & can hold a charge for a half an hour, which is plenty of time for me to either straighten or add beachy waves to my hair with minimal effort. The Dyson Corrale straightener is cool to the touch, so no scorched fingers or scalp. The Corrale feels comfortable in my grip & gives me total control with perfect results. The Dyson research & development team has outdone itself once again with a product that has a flawless design & gives you glamorous results.
