Overpriced and inefficient

To start, the battery life is not at all what I expected it to be; although the cordless feature is handy, the full charge does not last long enough to fully complete styling my hair- for reference my hair is just past shoulder length (not that long).
Secondly, while the “less heat, less damage” concept is exciting, this tool simply misses the mark; I was not able to achieve the style and smoothness I was hoping for, yet it is something I can do with my other tools.
Lastly, the tool is very slippery when you’re using it, especially if you’re applying product in sections and moving through your hair in parts- yes I wiped my hands on a hand towel.
I have no idea where all these reviews are coming from with people touting how frizz-free and smooth it leaves their hair- but I did notice all these “owners rewards notes” at the end of a lot of the reviews, maybe they were paid or received the tool for free in exchange for a glowing review?
All in all, very expensive tool with lackluster results. Great concept and idea, but they have kinks to work out. Returning mine ASAP.

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're so sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson Corrale™ straightener. The machine's running time is up to 40 minutes. The biggest affecting factors is the amount of time the unit spends heating the plates (for example, If the day is cold, the hair is damp, or the user makes frequent passes) this can cause the heating elements to be on for longer, and these external factors can cause a shorter run time. From full charge in our testing, we have seen in the lowest power mode and an average styling session time, a 40 minute run time. We recommend utilizing the lowest setting and using a higher one as needed.
The machine does have 3 settings: 330 F, 365 F and 410 F. The optimum temperature for styling will depend on your hair type and the style you are trying to achieve. If needed, we recommend raising the temperature and sectioning the hair in smaller sections to achieve your desired style.

It beeps too much when settings are reached and you can't turn off the beeping. It is VERY HEAVY so I would never purchase one for my mother sadly.

Cordless = amazing

Do you remember that feeling when you went from having an answering machine to getting voicemails or texts? Or having a DVR and being able to skip through commercials? That’s what the Corrale is like. A cordless flatiron was something I never knew I needed, but now there is no way I could go back to the old way. I was extremely skeptical and always had purchased expensive flatirons to get my fully curly hair straight- I don’t know how this magical unicorn works but it seems to require less heat to get the same results. Do you know when you flat iron a piece and then touch the piece of hair and burn your hand on the hair because it’s so hot- this doesn’t do that to hair. Could not recommend this more highly!!!

I bought this since my flat iron died. After I ordered it I got buyers remorse because of price. Decided if I didn’t love it then it was going back. Well I did. It cut my time in half and it makes your hair so straight and silky. You have done it once again Dyson with making such an amazing product. If your on the fence take the plunge you will not be disappointed.
