I have thick curly/wavy frizzy hair. I compare woth sheep wool. I also bleach an have lots of frizz from breakage and flyaways. This straightener is nothing like Ive ever used. Even in big chunky sections it straightens surprisingly well. My hair is soft and smooth again. I love this product and will continue to use it. Money well spent!

Sadly, my husband got me this for my birthday. I wish I could return it. It sounds like my hair is being scrapped through sand paper. My cheap straightener worked much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've been so displeased thus far with your Dyson Corrale™ straightener. Corrale features flexing plates, so you don't need to keep a very firm grip on the handles. Releasing some grasp, or even holding the machine lower toward the end of the handle, may resolve some of the issue that you seem to be having. You'll also want to ensure that your hair is completely dry, and also try using smaller sections of hair to see if that helps the issue. The product looks stylish and sturdy but...

I received my Vinca Corrale today (12/1). The product looks stylish and sturdy that I am sure it works pretty well for my naturally curly but messy hair. However, it has some scratches, found once I unwrapped it from the white wrapping paper. Is it only me who is unlucky? I expect the plastic surrounding the iron plates is smooth because that part touches my hair.

I came across this one and let’s just say this flat iron has changed my life ladies. I didn’t get any heat damage, my hair was shiny, soft and manageable. It felt like I had got a professional silk press. If your in need of a new flat iron this right here is the way to go!

I received this for my birthday. I was so excited. I just love hair tools! The iron itself is absolutely stunning. The technology and presentation is definitely lux. It feels sturdy and it is a bit heavier than most flat irons but nothing where it bothered my arms. It smoothed and straightened my hair very well. I have long thick and frizzy hair for reference. If you need more than 30 minutes like me just put on the charging dock instead if putting it down when you are getting a new section of hair. You can get up to an hour like this. It also curls beautifully. I’ve used many flat irons and hair tools so I’m pretty experienced. Now you’re probably wondering why I gave this 2 stars I do not recommend. Well this iron has unique plates that have curved in sides. My hair kept getting pulled by this. I used the iron maybe 4 times and every time it would break my hair. Now I have breakage on several parts of my hair!!! I returned it. I can’t believe something so expensive was breaking my hair. I even tried taking very small sections and it still happened. I believe this is a factory defect because not everyone has this experience. If you research quite a few people had this same issue. The bad reviews have this issue or complain about the battery life. You might be lucky and get a good one but you might get a defective one like me and I would not want anyone to risk having hair breakage. So disappointed!!! I didn’t want to exchange and have the same issue.

Dyson Corrale features flexing plates, which help to gather hair for more control, so you can style with less heat and 50% less breakage. We have had feedback on the plated and how they grip the hair. If you do feel hair pulling while making a pass with the Corrale, we do recommend using smaller, completely dry sections of hair, and altering the tension you place on the device.

Not what i expected

The battery never stayed full for long. I thought the quality will be much higher compering to what I'm paying. It's an ok but not wow deal.

The Dyson Corrale is designed to provide up to 30 minutes of cord-free styling on the battery, depending on the heat setting used. To maximize the cord-free styling time, we recommend starting at the lowest heat setting and moving up as needed and placing the Corrale on the charger cradle between sections.
The Corrale can also be used in hybrid mode. This entails using the machine while it's plugged into the magnetic charger; the battery depletes at a slower rate in this mode.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that the flat iron can be used without the cords to allow for easier use. To flat iron has a little weight to it but you will get used to used to it quickly. I would definitely use a heat protectant it gets super hot.
