I wanted to love this but I definitely don’t even like it. First of all I want to start with we have a ton of dyson products in our home. I also have the hairdryer which I LOVE
The corrale is not good. It is HEAVY and doesn’t hold a charge long enough. I do have long hair but it seems a little disappointing to have to charge it fully after every use. And to use it while plugged in, it needs to be at least 1/3 charged or it will shut off… did I mention it TURNS OFF even plugged in. It says it gets to 410 but doesn’t seem to get nearly as hot as it claims.
I will still keep my other straightener I was trying to replace because this one isn’t worth keeping at its price point
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you haven't had a more positive experience with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener. The Corrale™ straightener uses four key pieces of technology. The flexing plates provide just the right amount of flex to gather and adapt to the hair, and also provide the tension needed for styling. The intelligent heater system delivers the required heat to the plates. Intelligent heat control regulates the temperature of the plates 100 times a second to make sure they never exceed your chosen temperature. And finally, a 4-cell lithium ion battery enables enhanced styling with cord-free versatility.
The Corrale straightener may seem heavier when you first pick it up. That's because we've packed an advanced 4-cell Lithium-ion battery inside, which helps provide maximum styling time, along with the thermal performance of a corded straightener. The placement of the battery was engineered to help provide balance in the hand. It also features hybrid charge mode. Hybrid charge mode involves styling with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener with its magnetic 360° charging cable attached. Using the Dyson Corrale™ straightener in hybrid charge mode allows you to extend your run time should you need longer. Also, while in use to help prolong the battery life, we'd recommend placing the straightener back on the dock, between styling sections of your hair.
We're keen to go over your machine with you and learn more about your experience, as we'd like to help ensure that your Dyson is performing properly. Please consider emailing us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com.
It is very practical, and i love the design, but I do not like that the battery does not last me even to straighten my hair once, it discharges super fast

Hello Karlita, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that you've been so happy with the overall design of the Dyson Corrale straightener. The Dyson Corrale™ straightener is a cord-free straightener that provides the same thermal performance as corded products, but with cord-free versatility. It provides up to 30 minutes cord-free styling and is fully recharged in just 70 minutes. You can also extend your run time by attaching the magnetic 360ᵒ charging cable for use in hybrid charge mode should you need longer. Also, while in use to help prolong the battery life, we'd recommend placing the straightener back on the dock, between styling sections of your hair.
We'd value the opportunity to learn more about your experience with your Dyson as we'd like to help ensure you are having a 5-star experience. Please feel free to reach out to us at askdysonUS@dyson.com, and we will be in touch.
Okay I was on the fence about paying a salty price for a flat iron . But since I own the dyson sonic hairdryer and love that I gave the corrale a try to find out I love it as well . It’s bigger plates puts nice curls in my hair love the cordless feature it’s easier to maneuver and a lot of cheaper straighteners look like they melt along the edges the corrale does not get like that . It automatically turns off after 5 minutes of not using it . It has beep tones to let you know when it’s on and ready . I love the straightener and cannot see myself ever using a different one again !!! And the plates are bigger it also makes nice beach waves in the hair . So if you use a straightener a couple times a week like me then it’s definitely worth it
I bought this and was hoping I would love it. But the flight ready tag is really bothering me. Does anyone else have the same issue? I was trying to plug it in but it kept falling out and it wouldn't be plugged in completely due to the wire attached to it. I really wish I enjoy it but unfortunately I am returning it. To be fair though, I do enjoy other Dyson products. So hopefully this will be fixed in the next version.

Hello sschen,
Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson Corrale™ straightener. The flight ready tag is a feature for travel for the Dyson Corrale, as it is multi-voltage. We're sorry to hear you had trouble getting the flight tag back in; we have a video on the Dyson Support website that provides steps to getting the flight tag back in.
We hope you continue to consider Dyson products in the future.
After finally purchasing the Dyson hair dryer & being so thrilled with it, I decided to try the Dyson Corrale straightener. I have been unsatisfied with others I have tried as I needed to go over my hair several times to get the look I wanted....and my hair showed it. Didn't like how "fried" my hair was looking. I will say that I am thrilled with the Corrale! It heats up quickly and gives you a choice of 3 temperatures. I only need to go over my hair once or twice as opposed to multiple times. And I've never seen one designed like this...I absolutely love that you can also easily curl your hair with it! Another Dyson product that I am very happy with. Yes, it took me a while to get there as it's definitely a big financial investment, but I'm glad I did it.
Better at everything compared to previous flat iro

I straighten my hair weekly, I'm African-American and my hair is relaxed. I previously used a Remington 8510 every week before this.
Today I received my Dyson straightener and was really looking forward to using it! Firstly I washed my hair then applied it's a 10 leave-in-spray with keratin, blow-dried with the Dyson hair dryer then applied Chi keratin oil then used my Dyson flat iron.
One of my biggest concerns was the cordless battery since usually it takes me about 40-ish minutes to straighten my hair. However, the Dyson straightener cut my straightening time down to 20 minutes and not even half of the cordless battery was gone (granted I kept placing it back on the charging port)! I also noticed a lot less of my hair breaking off. Better in every aspect compared to my previous flat iron. My hair came out great! Definitely recommend
