I was able to assemble the box spring with no problem after contacting customer service with my question. The slats are connected by a "ribbon" which needs to be cut in order to evenly space out the slats. That clue was not in the written instructions but luckily, I was able to get through to customer service immediately and had my dilemma solved by a very nice lady whose name I unfortunately cannot remember.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's just a bunch of pieces of untreated wood that you screw together and toss a cover over. It does what it's supposed to do, but it's way too expensive for what you get.

Great for old houses with tight stairwells

We have an old house and we could never get a traditional foundation up the stairwell. This foundation worked out great. The first one we got had slat sections that we're too short. I called customer service on a Sunday night and Wednesday the replacement slats were there. Easy to assemble, looks nice. Good foundation for our California king ghost bed.
