Second Ghostbed in the house!

We loved our queen size original Ghostbed so much that when we upgraded to a larger house we bought a King recently and this foundation for it. Great beds!

Great idea, bad craftsmanship

So, this is a great idea to ship a king size box spring in a smaller box, and have the customer assemble it. And it would work great, if I wouldn’t need to repair the thing to make it fit correctly.
First off, one of the plastic corner pieces were broken when it arrived. I was still able to assemble the foundation despite the broken piece.
However, while putting the remainder of the box spring together, about half of the predrilled holes in the slats did not line up with the “joists” below.
On the positive side, the company did send me new plastic corner pieces with one phone call, one email, and a couple pics.
Unfortunately, I had to disassemble nearly the entire foundation to change the broken piece. Then, when I reassembled it, the end piece of the foundation was about 1/2 inch higher than the side piece. After disassembling again, and further inspection, the manufacturer had put the original plastic piece in the wrong spot on the end piece, which may have caused it to break in the first place.
I had to make corrections and repairs to their work to “make it right”.

Foundation was not too difficult

Even though it did not go together properly, it was a tight fit when I smushed it together. Great place to store extra items even hide new guns from the ole lady

Poor craftsmanship

I was up for screwing in all 48 screws, but less than a third of the pilot holes lined up so I had to drill new holes. One row of slats was shorter on one side and a couple slats were split and had large slivers missing.
After all that assembly, the foundation was more narrow than the bed frame.
Definitely not worth the price

The foundation was surprisingly sturdy

When we first got the thin wood wrapped up in a bag, I got scared and thought it would be a lot of work. Surprisingly it went quick and it's held up like a champ. No problems.

Poorly constructed

Slabs without the predrilled holes to secure. Had to cut the pins that were put in under the wood tip be able to assemble. Would boot recommended
