Fun build to many stickers
on April 10, 2024

The building was set up nice for group play. If you planning on using it for a campaign only the dungeon master should build it. I feel for the price point ever too many stickers or elements should’ve been printed. Also not a fan of the color usage on the dragon.

Great fun

For the most part, this set has it all: a wonderful and varied building experience, brilliant use of color, exceptional details, and plenty of play features. My only real complaint is that some spaces that are not modular really ought to have been, especially the ooze cave and the prison tower. A few more non-skeleton mini figures would have been nice as well, either as enemies or as additional player character options.

Best D&D lego set!
on April 21, 2024

I gifted this to my husband who is also our Dungeon Master. He loved building it! This was the first lego set he has buildt in a long time. We love the ease of the instructions and the cute little icon that tracks throughout the book.
Our entire family got involved with building! We have a 5 and 8 yr old. We love all the traps, the hidden gem, and especially all the monsters. Who ever decided to add a baby gelatinous cube is my hero!
The dragon is the best lego dragon we have seen yet. My kids have numerous Ninjago dragons, and they do not compare to this version. We are very satisfied with waiting for this D&D rendition!

A few problems with the dragon
on April 11, 2024
Posted by: Bricktrician
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The problems come from the dragon, the head and tail ball joints are not strong enough to hold the wait that is required of them and is difficult to pose. There is not a built in way to sit the dragon on the ruins of the castle like it is in most promotional material. You can do it but it is finicky.

Really wonderful, whimsical set not without flaws
on April 9, 2024

This set is beautiful, it wasn't a challenging build but it was a fun build. Lots of little secrets and stories hidden in the build that I adored. What I dislike is LEGO marketing the set as if the Dragon can attach, at a stud point to the build when that is not the case. It's not the end of the world, some fishing line can create the illusion but at the end of the day it should have been clear that the Dragon has no actual intended connection point to sit like all the cover and marketing imagery. It's still a beautiful set, and I had a lot of fun but what an annoying aspect to deal with.

Dragon build isn't what it should be

Cinderhowl's neck and mouth is problematic and doesn't function as expected. The ball joint holding her head to her neck is way too loose, so that she can only look downward.
Part 6168645 plugs into 6486091 as the basis for holding her lower jaw to her head (book 4 step 233). This does not work. The hold between the two is far too weak, leading her jaw to fall at the slightest brush.
At this price, I think these two faults are really obvious and should have been caught.
Unrelated: fix this form. It requires ad blockers to be disabled in order to post a review, which makes no sense at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dwarves
on May 9, 2024

Official instructions show not to give the beard to the dwarf if you choose to make them female. This is a mistake because everyone knows even female dwarves have long beards
