Great build - dragon is tricky though

We had a blast building this set! I had the opportunity to build it twice since I also bought a family member the set and built it with them.
On both of those sets we really struggled to get the jaw of the dragon to stay on. Every time you pick up the dragon, its lower jaw falls off. Since we use the sets to run some fun D&D one shot quests, the dragon not staying together was a bummer. No complaints about the rest of the set!

I would be giving it 5 stars if only the Dragons jaw would not be so finicky. I'm looking to see what the head and jaw should use and modify the build to better build just the head and jaw area but very satisfying build. I highly recommend it

I am a father of four teenage kids and run a monthly RPG game with my kids and their friends. This set, along with the blind pack D&D figures have added so much fun to the campaign. Please keep them coming!
The build was a joy for the group to complete. Their are four books included and each kid got to build their own part and then combine it all. It only took about 4 hours to complete, but that was with lunch break and chatter. Was a pleasure to get them off their phone for awhile and reconnect.
This was my first lego purchase as an adult for myself and I am very much looking forward to more sets of this caliber.

The Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale is a great LEGO Ideas/D&D set, jammed pack with lore from the Forgotten Realms to expected LEGO charm and wit sprinkled throughout. My only nitpick is the sizing for the In Plain Sight Inn wish it was a bit bigger than the standard, including certain sections of the build that if you so choose; can use this set as a actual D&D game (Red Dragon’s Tale adventure book sold separately.) and that’s great but I do understand if it was any bigger we’d be spending more than the price listed.

Excellent and imaginative. I hope they do more of these sets. For 300+ it could have included a D20 like the one shown on the box. Otherwise it’s really a fun build, slightly delicate compared to similar builds. The dragon is everything. We added the mini figures that were sold separately to flesh it out.

Really enjoyed the build and the end result.
The minifigs are wonderful to use as they come or to mix into your collection and make unique characters. The beasts are well done and the overall set provides a great backdrop for hours of playtime. My older son even came over to join in which never happens. It's my favorite build in a while.

An Excellent Set

I am a Lego castle fan at heart. Having built the Lion Knight’s Castle, Medieval Market Village and Blacksmith, I knew I needed this set. It is a perfect blend into the medieval side I already collect and fantasy elements of sets from my childhood. I LOVED the mix of brick-built elements with larger, old-school pieces (the rotating stairway was so nostalgic for me!). I have yet to fully explore and play through the adventure of the set, but from the parts I have, it adds an extra element to this set! I’ve now got an excuse for my friends to come over and check out my new legos- Game night!
Lego Group, please, please, PLEASE continue the D&D theme and give us more character options with some smaller sets that can be combined into a second full dungeon! I would give you all my money if you make that happen!
I highly recommend this set to any castle/fantasy fans!
