Visually, it's a slight upgrade over my Watch 4. It's a more elegant-looking watch, the apps are about the same as the Watch 4, some details, as with sleep monitoring, are better detailed, but I don't know that the functioning is any better. The vibration for notifications is noticeably less strong, and since I keep the volume off on my phone and watch most of the time, I do tend to miss messages. I was also disappointed in the strap that came with the watch, I was sure I was ordering a silicone type band (I'm pretty sure that there was a special offer to 'add and extra band for free' when I was placing the order, so I thought I'd add the white fabric one for special occasions) but all I received was the white one. As I'm a gardener, it will get too dirty too quickly, so for the time being I've had to swap the Watch 4 band onto the Watch 7. I'm now searching for a better band because the choices on the Samsung site are very limited. Now that I know the other 40mm bands seem to fit ok, I might look at Samsung's site again.
I should add that the battery life is no better than the 4, the description suggested that I might have a longer life to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First time, no regrets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Watch4 and got the 7 instead and I don't regret it. I love the fact that I can make calls and respond to messages from my watch, which I couldn't go with the 4 (at least, the responding to messages part). At first, I was bummed on the battery life but then I thought about all the watch does and kinda moved past it (it takes like 3 days to go down to 30%). Overall, would recommend.
