Great Product

I am a fan of Gold Eagle so I usually give their products a shot if I have any issues. I have a lake home in East TX and it can get quite humid there. I use the Fabric Guard on the patio furniture to help protect it from spills but also am always concerned about things growing where I don't want it to. I like the product and have used it as well on my car...to clean fabric and protect it from spills and also the sun ...at least it seems to keep the fabric looking new longer. I am a fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sample a month ago. I used it on my outdoor patio furniture and on my trail shoes. It performs better than other products for waterproofing and fabric protection. Very nice results and easy to use.

How do I remove stains caused by Fabric Guard?
on January 27, 2018

I sprayed my Sunbrella fabric with Fabric Guard 303 and let it air dry under the sun. It has left huge stain marks all over the cushion. I'm not sure if I over applied? How do I wash the fabric to remove the stain marks caused by the Fabric Guard?
Response from goldeagle.comBy Products Support, Customer Support, January 30, 2018
Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your less than satisfactory experience. There are a few reasons as to why stains could happen after application. The most common ones are that the material had residue from a previous cleaner/detergent, or the cushions are stuffed with a material that negatively reacted to the product, or that too much product was used and did not cure properly (over-saturation). The best way to clean the cushions is to machine wash them. If the inside material (foam, cotton, etc.) was affected, wash that separately with non-residue soap such as dish soap. When the material has completely dried, it is safe to try again. Remember, only a light coating is needed to ensure a fast curing process and effectiveness. If there any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us at producttechsupport@goldeagle.com

The product may be acceptable but the spray bottles are terrible. Get your stuff together and design a dispenser that does not seize up or leak or just stop working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this on my Jeep Wrangler's top and on my son's motorcycle cover. It rained for a week and the water just beaded up and ran off. I think I will have to keep using this for my Jeep's top! My son wants my bottle of this stuff... I told him "no way, you have to get your own". Lol Great product and will highly recommend.

Just what I needed for an old convertible top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used on my 1965 Austin Healey top which had lost a bit of its water replellant ability in the folds. Have had it on the car now for 5 weeks and through several severe weather storms and have stayed dry as a bone! Will try next on a few pair of shoes that frequently get wet and a jacket or two that are water resistant but not water proof and I always get soaked wearing to see how they work on those. Will update once that is complete!

Good overall product, not significant coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product seems to work well, however, in a single bottle, it doesn't go that far. I covered cushions for an outside deck and it was really easy to apply. The product cured very quickly and doesn't require special maintenance. However, by the time I covered one cushion, almost half of the bottle. Could have been a particular porous fabric, but you would need more to complete a set of deck furniture.

Disappointed: Water doesn't bead
on July 16, 2018

I'm disappointed in the performance of 303 Fabric Guard (30607) on the top of my 2017 Ford Mustang convertible. I expected water to bead on the fabric, much like water beads on the painted surfaces of my car. I expected that water would not soak onto the fabric. And the product met expectations for the 1st minute or so of exposure to water. But, after driving less than 5 miles in a heavy rain, the water did not bead and water appeared to have soaked into the fabric.
I applied this product in full sun, with air temperatures in the upper 70's to low 80's, using a pump sprayer, until the fabric was evenly wet / damp. The convertible wasn't exposed to water for 3 days after application.
I bought 2 gallons of this expensive stuff & treated my car top & my boat canvas with it. I expect the boat canvas will see similarly disappointing performance when it's exposed to rain.
