After reviewing coffeemaker ratings; going in store to see and feel the different brands and styles I ended up choosing the Cuisinart 14 cup coffeemaker. I'm really happy with this product. Functionality is easy and makes great coffee. It is a little tricky pouring water into the reservoir due to angle of pour area and size of coffee pot.

We've had the machine for a couple of months. It performs as advertised. We like the "turn off the end of cycle tone." We'll purchase another when it's time.
There is only one minor issue--the BOLD command is not saved in system memory. Our last coffee maker saved that command, and we didn't have to remember to push it each time.

The best part of this coffee maker is the Cuisinart charcoal water filter that makes the water and therefore the coffee flavor outstanding. My Mr. Coffee maker though simpler in function and use just could not compare with the Cuisinart coffee flavor especially if you grind your own coffee beans. A big thumbs up to Cuisinart.
