This is an excellent, large capacity, coffee maker that has been around in similar form for many years. The fact that it remains popular speaks to the quality of its design. The current version has more stainless steel, and is more convenient to use.

I love this coffee maker. It is my third one of this same model. Simple to operate and makes fantastic coffee. No need for major bells and whistles to make great coffee. You can program to time your brew, adjust heat and strength. You have a choice to use the gold filter or you can use paper cone filters. That's all I need. This machine looks great on my counter and is easy to clean.

Bought this coffee maker recommended by a friend and at a great price. It makes great coffee and has nice features, but the carafe is hard to dry. Whether washed by hand or by machine water is trapped between the glass and plastic rim. The water dribbles out randomly while trying to dry the carafe. It takes awhile to get it totally dry and invariably drips one more time when you think you are done. Poor carafe design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
