It seems the carafe measuring does not match the water well. I fill carafe to 8 or 10 cups, but it does not match the amount of water needed to match the water well. I just fill the well and have to add a bit more water. I threw the box away and its too much of a bother to pack it up and send back!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this doc-3200 Cuisinart coffee maker to replace the old dcc-1200 Cuisinart coffee maker that finally bit the dust after many years of daily use. I loved my old Cuisinart coffee maker and really love the new one too. This coffee maker makes a bigger pot of coffee (14 cups) as compared to my old 12 cup pot.the coffee tastes great and it uses the same paper filter and water filter as the old coffee maker. I like using paper filters because they are easier to use as the reusable one needs to be washed and with the paper filter you just throw it out. I like the design with the bigger buttons that have a blue glow when they’re on. I also like the water gauge on the side to see how much water is in the pot.the styling of the stainless steel strip on the handle of the carafe looks nicer too.all in all I think I will be very happy with my purchase.hoping for another many years of great coffee from my new coffee maker.

We bought this coffee maker as a replacement for one that overflowed the filter, putting grounds in the coffee pot. Unfortunately this one does that too, unless we use the bold setting. We are making ten cups so it isn’t that we are up against the machine’s capacity.

Terrible design for filling the water reservoir

Filling the water tank is super frustrating. The water reservoir is in the back and when you open the lid to fill, it gets in the way and make it difficult to tip the pot all the way over. I end up with water on the counter or it drips down onto the burner. I can't believe more people don't complain about this. Poor design.
Once the water is in, the coffee is great. No complaints on the machine, just the poor experience pouring water in.
