Makes good coffee! The basket that holds the grounds will not stay down with-out putting a coffee cup on the lid. The caffeture(pot) lid leaks to one side if you are not careful how you place it on the pot of hot coffee. Other than that, we really like it, just a pain to use.

This Cuisenart coffee maker is one of the best coffee makers around, makes your brew smoooth, not too hot (though it does have the capability of the burner plate from Lo to High- I use Med). For the money it has many features- ‘sneak a cup’, delayed brew, ability to drip 1-4 cups, a ‘bold’ setting and supposedly can make your caffeinated coffee decaf (that is what it professes to be able to do).

Easy to use and program. Love that it can make up to 14 cups. No filter needed with the filter basket which is easy to clean. Only thing I don’t like it have to pour water in from the top. No removable water container. And it lifts up from the top so have to pull it out from under cabinet. But it’s not a big deal just an extra step.

Makes good coffee relatively quickly. Wish I could extend the carafe heat time while it is on. I’d pay more for a version of this with 2 timers, one for weekend and one for weekday.
