It makes annoying clicking noises all the time it is on. Expected some noise while brewing, but not just because it is on. This purchase was made to replace a much older model. It did not do this. Also was able to turn on the lower hot plate as needed with the old one. New model does not have this feature. It must run through an entire brew cycle for the lower hot plate to heat. The older model was better.

Excellent coffee maker! Has all the features I wanted and works great. The beep when the coffee is ready sounds very similar to a smoke alarm - but you can silence it.
My one big complaint is a very poorly designed carafe. I’ve used many coffee makers over many years and this carafe is the worst design ever! By putting the plastic around the top of the glass it creates a lip so you can never get all the liquid out. That lip also makes it harder to clean. The handle is hollow and open on the bottom so when you wash it the dirty water gets down inside.
The coffee maker itself is great but as for the carafe - I expected better from Cuisinart. I truly hope they will design a better and more practical carafe that will work with this model of coffeemaker. Until then I guess I’m stuck. Love the coffee maker - hate the carafe!

I like everything about this coffee maker, except for the carafe. I wish the lid was hinged. Instead it comes off, which makes it a little more difficult to clean, or to use to pour water in. The set up is easy.

I have purchased Cuisinart products over the years and absolutely loved each and every one of them. I had a short term problem programming the timer at first. No matter what I did the time would jump 2-3 hours in advance. I gave it a few more days to see if it would self- correct and it did. Love this new model.
