Makes good coffee with great options such as bold selection and the ability to set automatic turn-off anywhere up to 4 hours. The disadvantage is the unnecessary very bright blue light when the machine is off. It is a huge power vampire, which serves no function except to waste electricity at a time when people are trying to use less.

This was a replacement a previous model Cuisinart coffee maker (the one you’ve seen on just about every tv show/movie set since the late 90’s) that lasted well over a decade, perhaps closer to two, of daily use. With its styling and quality no reason to change now, going with another was a no-brainer.

The machine looks sleek and appealing and is sturdy. While it looks nice and does its job, it takes noticeably longer than my previous machine (which was a very simple Hamilton Beach model recommended by consumer reports) to brew a cup of coffee. Ironically, I would say that the results -in terms of taste-- were better with my previous, cheaper model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have owned several Cuisinart products and have never been disappointed, The sad part this our 2nd coffee maker. The good news is that it has large pot ,14 cups. Easy maintain. the filter inside the water tank is great plus. We are always being told "the was good ", need I say more?
