Gave it 4 stars. The only issue I have is that I wish it had a separate water tank so you could fill the tank and then attach it back to the coffee maker. This one, if not careful will leak from the pot lid on countertop. Make sure that the lid is snapped in place every time after filling it with water. Sometimes when filling it with water it unsnaps the lid and if you don't catch it will spill all over the surface you have the coffee maker on. Love the 14 cup compacity.

All brewing functions and measuring lines are good. Tank filter holder does not fit snugly in place, not sure how well it is working. Numerous audible clicking noises occurring while coffee is on heating plate.

I am surprised that there is a 14 cup water amount, yet one can only really make 8 cups- I fill the coffee and put 8 cups of water...How can there be a 14 cups capacity?????

I always thought Cuisinart branded items were top notch, unfortunately this does not fully live up to that expectation. We have always been a Mr Coffee household but tried this because it looks nice and was a good deal. But I'm not sure I would buy it again. I mean, it works, the coffee is fine but the unut itself just doesn't impress me. Pouring tgw water into the reserve is significantly more challenging than it needs to be (or should be). The location of the relatively small opening is precarious and to make it worse the civer doesn't fully open so its a challenge to get all the water poured into it. Thats really the "biggest " negative I have. But the brewing cycle is much noisier than any other one I've owned, unnecessarily noisy. And the "done brewing" alarm has two settings, its either "wake up the whole house " or "silent", there really needs to be an in between.

At this time, our only complaint is that moisture drips down the back of the coffeemaker when we open the lid to pull the basket out. The coffee is great. Read your instructions (ie-how much coffee you put in and how fine the grind is). 4 stars is because we haven’t had the coffeemaker for very long to give it any higher or lower.
