Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but managed to cause metal plate on underside of machine to rust and disintegrate and leave exposed wires. Would be a good idea to look under machine and check for issues periodically.

It's very quick & keeps the coffee warmer than my old maker! I like the charcoal filter for water but very expensive to replace. 2 problems so far are spring loaded coffee filter has a lot of resistance when putting pot back on maker! 2nd the pot leaks coffee on you when pouring & you can hear the pot crackling while cooling on the counter !
