The only thing I don't like about this coffee pot is that it uses cone filters, otherwise it's great, the extra large size is perfect for "big" coffee drinkers and the pot doesn't leak when you pour. And clearly from my 5 star rating the cone filters really don't bother me that much.

I chose this coffee maker because it was well rated on Consumer Reports. I have been making french press for years. I wanted a standard coffee maker with a timer because I wake up early to run - this helps me to get up! I like the options for carafe temp, auto-off time, bold, and delay timer. I keep my warming plate on for 2 hours on low because some other have commented on the plate loosing the coating. I thought I would miss the depth of the french press, but instead I am quite happy not to have all the grit at the bottom of every cup! I use the wire basket without a filter. Super happy with it!

Cons: Lid does not stay attached to carafe which I've become accustomed to. Noisy for a new machine.
