I bought one coffemaker online and it stopped working after 4 months. Cuisinart replaced this with a brand new one and I do like this coffeemaker very much. The only thing I don't like is that when I fill it with water a lot evaporates. So filling to make 12 cups comes to 10 cups at the end of the brewing. And the coffee is not as strong as I would like it to be even when I put in some extra coffee and use the bold setting. I would recommend this as I think most cofffeemakes work the same way and I like that I have the choice to make 14 cups or at least get 12 when I do try for 14.

I am happy with this purchase. The coffee is nice and hot and tastes great. Only drawback is that occasionally the basket holder does not drop into exactly the right place so the coffee doesn't drip out like it should. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars,

I love the coffee maker and the reason I rated it good is my own personal problem that being the 14 cup pot is too big and heavy when full. So i put less water in. I wish I had ordered the 12 cup pot. The features of this pot are great and its so easy to use.

I like most everything about it except one thing. When I remove the decanter to pour a cup of coffee before it's finished brewing, it's all good except when I put it back. Coffee pours out til I get it in place and goes all on the heating plate. It does make a slight mess.
