I had a previous model for six years. This one is somewhat better in that it keeps my coffee hotter longer. I am a little hard of hearing now so I like this one with a better(louder ) beeper.

I bought this a few weeks ago and we are very happy. As previous french press owners, we did not want to give up a good, strong brew. Although no drip maker will replace a french press, we are happy with the brew strength and the overall quality of the product. I am very happy with the design and the look as well.
