Have used this everyday for 3 weeks and like it a lot. Have used the "medium" setting for the hot plate and it keeps the coffee plenty hot for our coffee with cream. Have only tried the reusable gold filter once and went back to the paper cone filters for coffee with less grounds. Not a fan of the lid on the carafe since you have to remove it to clean out the pot. Would prefer a hinged lid but the carafe itself is quite substantial - large and sturdy. As with many coffeemakers that open at the top, it doesn't fit well in our small kitchen where I have it under the cabinet and have to slide it out to fill and brew.

I purchased this after checking online for recommendations and availability. I got the 14 cup because it was available in-store, although I would have been happy with the 12 cup. I replaced another brand-name with this one and like it soooo much better. It programs easily, looks nice, and works beautifully. I like the water filter feature; happily, the carafe pours smoothly, and doesn't dribble. Although I like the brewing temp of a percolator, this coffeemaker comes very close, and I get to enjoy the convenience of the programable feature. It disassembles to clean easily. This coffeemaker is much better than any other drip brewer I have tried. I am very pleased with my purchase.

After a few months of use the strap at the bottom of the carafe is peeling, revealing the silver metal under the grey finish. I bought this to replace an older model. I would have preferred the old silver finish, but only the satin grey was available.

Better than average coffee maker. Good features include charcoal water filter, reusable gold coffee filter, choice of strength, "shower" type water spray that soaks grounds more evenly than conventional drip, and 14-cup capacity. Features that could be improved include very weak strength unless "Bold" feature is chosen. If one tries to increase strength by grinding the coffee finer, the basket plugs up and coffee overflows everywhere. For those who grind their coffee fresh, this can be a problem. It works well with pre-ground coffee but produces a weaker cup.for 14 cups, a full basket is needed, and this may overflow also.

So far so good! Makes delicious, hot coffee at the perfect temperature. My only two issues so far: 1) When you open up the lid the condensation built up on the lid runs down the back of the the machine onto the counter so I have to have a towel strategically placed while opening to prevent it and 2) the carafe needs a redesign as it doesn't pour well and always has coffee or water left behind due to the lip inside. These two issues are items engineers should be able to easily fix so why they haven't is beyond me. If these two items were fixed I'd definitely give it five stars.

I like pretty much everything about this coffee maker except how one fills it. Very difficult to pour water into the channel and watch the level on the side at the same time if one is right handed.
