This is a well-powered mixer with a good size bowl. Takes some getting used to from using an old Mixmaster for several years. It was large enough to make divinity with no trouble. I prefer to stop and scrape down the sides so I know everything is mixed in. It has worked well for everything thing I have made with it!

Great, but only for large amounts of ingredients

This is my first dtand mixer and I love the overall look of it: it's very pretty. It's also heavy enough to stay put even when working on faster speed or with a large amount of heavier dough. The mixer is quiet, and has a great variety of speeds. The one thing that I don't like is that if I'm working with a small amount of ingredients, the attachment cannot reach down the center of the bowl enough to mix them and just spreads them evenly on the bottom of the bowl. It's impossible to cream just one stick of butter. I will still have to use my hand mixer if I want to make a recipe with a smaller amount of ingredients.

I have had a similar Cuisinart mixer in the past, but this one isn't near the quality of the previous mixer. The paddle doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl, making mixing difficult. The on/off mechanism is difficult to use and it seems very low quality as a whole.

I absolutely love this blender! Best quality blender I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning and using. Only to drawbacks, and they’re quite minor compared to how well this product is made and how well it works in every other regard.… The sucker is loud and I’m not kidding! The only problem and it’s really just a minor annoyance, is that the blades do seem to get stopped with frozen pieces like cherries, frozen strawberries, and other little frozen bits more than I would expect it to. I am loading the pitcher correctly, so I know this is not happening because of misuse. If this blender ever wears out, despite what I have mentioned, it’s such a great machine that I would buy the exact same one again. I use this once, sometimes twice a day. I’ve had this blender for a couple of months now and it’s just fantastic.

I had a Krups for 21 years and liked all the features of the Krups (easy to clean, light weight) but it finally gave out. I decided to go with the Cuisinart 5.5 quart mixer and have not been disappointed. It is on the heavier side not as heavy as the KitchenAid and it doesn't come apart to clean like the Krups, but I believe it will stand up to my baking abuse.
