I purchased this when my old Breville died and didn’t want to spend a ton on a new mixer. Yes, it works but the regular mixing paddle does not do a good job ( the sugar in the bottom of the bowl never gets mixed up) and so I end up using the whipping paddle all the time. The front name plate on the mixer falls off all the time as well. Does it mix? Yes. Do I wish I’d opted for the more expensive mixer, yes.

I got this to help me with my Christmas baking. It exceeded my expectations! The dough from breads to cookies blended well. I wish I had gotten this blender years ago!

Why 4 stars? I miss my 38 year old Sunbeam but it just couldn't go on any longer. It was difficult to switch from a 38 year old Sunbeam to a mixer from the 21st century. I miss the 2 beaters and the rotating bowl...difficult features to find in a brand new mixer. However, I believe this mixer is worth the money. It is very sturdy, has a strong motor and is easy to clean. Plus, waiting for a sale made making the change to a different mixer easier. Please note, I'm just a cookies & thick sweet bread type cook. For me, this is an excellent choice. I spent a couple of months searching for the right one. Good luck!

I am really enjoying my new Precision 5.5 stand mixer after making all my Christmas cookies! This mixer is an amazingly quiet sounding mixer compared to my previous kitchen aid mixer. I am very happy with the Precision’s ability to handle heavy dough mixtures with ease. The design of bowl and beater mixes ingredients very well, much closer mixing on the bowl bottom and sides than a kitchen aid. I am very happy with my new Cuisinart stand mixer!

Have used a Kitchenaid stand mixer for years with OK results. When it quit I decided I wanted something lighter and easier to move from the appliance closet to the countertop. Most of my other small appliances are Cuisinart so I chose their stand mixer. It’s lighter but still heavier than I’d prefer. I suppose it needs a bit of mass to stay put while mixing heavy doughs?? It seems to work well though, possibly, doesn’t scrape the bowl quite right. It’s also kinda loud while running.

Good strong mixer. A little challenging to get into bowl to scrape sides of bowl without lifting the mixer head. Does an excellent job on double cookie recipes. Good value for the price!!
