So Far So Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was installed in our new house, and we have now lived there for about a month. So far I love it. So nice to be able to cook at high heat for stuff like stir fry, without worrying about setting off the fire alarm. Way better than a microwave vent above the stove top. Looks really nice too.

Very loud, and the lights only work half the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hood seems to be very loud and the light only work half the time. Once I cleaned out the filters, I started noticing oil drops forming around the filters, odd.

Incredibly Loud

We've had this hood for over two years, so I feel qualified to review it. Looks and feels very high quality. Definitely does a good job trapping any smoke or odors from cooking. However even on low, this thing is incredibly loud. This is a huge problem because we have an open floorplan, with our kitchen, dining nook, and living room in one big space. So if I want to simmer a pot of soup and put the hood on low, the person watching TV has to turn the volume way up, and I can't have any conversations in the kitchen. I am genuinely amazed Frigidare has not come up with any solutions to this problem. I think many of us who own this hood would be happy to pay for a new motor or switch assembly that would solve this problem.
