Vent hood is too loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hood came with our new home. I would not at this point in time buy the hood, it is very noisy, very loud, even on the lowest setting. Other than the noise it is a very nice hood.

Great Looking Cooktop Hood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop hood was included in the appliance package with our new home. It is very nice looking and provides great light over cooktop. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is because of the fan noise. There isn’t any difference between the low, medium and high setting and is very loud. cant carry on a conversation while it is being used.

Gosh! AWTY, your vent hood needs to have sufficient CFM (cubic feet per minute of air) and adequate coverage over your range top to trap odors and fumes. I have done some research, and your exhaust, on high is listed at 69.9 decibels. This decibel level is comparable to a passenger car at 65mph, music or TV playing, or for me the best comparison is to a vacuum cleaner (listed at 70 decibels). The reason for this, is the amount of air that is being moved by the fan. Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) for your vent hood is a 400, the higher the number the louder the decibel level will be. There are many variables for CFM and vent hoods based on size and type of range, size of room, and cooking needs. Works well but design can be improved

It’s working fine for over a month. The vent pipe cover hugs the pipe too tight and is slightly bent.

Too loud and unreliable

I got this unit from builder. It is loud for its application with the highest setting being unbearable. The unit died within the 3rd month of usage and a replacement part is being requested. Better spend some money for a quality unit than this.
