Do not buy this

I’ll start by saying I love Nespresso. When the machine works, it’s very good coffee. I’m on my second Vertuo Next machine, as the first one was replaced as it stopped brewing after a month or two. This second machine is now running into the same problems. They need to discontinue this product. There are obviously manufacturing errors they are failing to address and just continue to send you refurbished machines that eventually break.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

I bought this about a year ago but didn’t use it too much at first, finally started using consistently about 6 months ago and worked fine until last week it started blinking orange. Followed instructions to fix, called tech support, got a replacement and the replacement doesn’t work! Have had the hardest time with this machine I’m about to switch back to Keurig. For the price I shouldn’t have these issues especially with a brand new replacement.

Stick With the Classic Model

This model offers nowhere near the performance of our previous Vertuo! The dial that closes and locks the lid is SO hard to turn. The lid needs constant cleaning, or the pods will stick and not eject properly. The receptacle for used pods is much smaller than the classic machine and it accumulates so much liquid that it leaks onto counter if not emptied almost daily. The water capacity is less than the orignial version, which does not make sense for a machine that brews a carafe size serving. Also seems louder to me than the original model. I should never have given that one to my daughter LOL! Definitely going back to the other style because Nespresso makes the BEST coffee!!

Completely awful

The first machine I bought lasted 3 weeks. Then, I would put pod in, push the button and nothing. I tried the cleaning, nothing, I tried to descale it, nothing. So, I returned it and the second one must have been used bc no matter the flavor coffee I put in, it tasted like the descaling chemicals. No amount of cleaning helped. So, that one went back too. Such a bummer bc those first 3 weeks of coffee were awesome. I’ve written off Nespresso!

Unreliable - Avoid this model at all costs

Currently standing in front of my replacement machine trying to fathom out what is wrong with it now. Perspective: we purchased our first Nespresso Vertuo at the start of September, it was temperamental at first then started leaking, then point blank stopped working. Nespresso customer service were amazing we troubleshooted together & once it was clear the machine was a dud they sent a replacement, to mu dismay when the replacement turned up it failed to connect to my app irrespective of all the data I entered being correct it continues to say “check password” and a week later the machine has decided to stop working. Reading through these reviews it’s clear that I’m not alone in this poor experience. I’ve not tried other models so I can’t speak to their reliability however I highly recommend you avoid this model. Agree with other comments that the coffee is fabulous when you can get a cup.

Leaks water from the top while running from day 1. Leaks water when opening lid. Leaks water when emptying tray. Terrible product. Carafe taste results are inconsistent.

This model has Issues

I got this in December as a gift. Two months later it breaks and nespresso replaced it with the same model. The replacement was working great until today and it is dead. I contacted nespresso and they are replacing with a different model. Customer service has been fantastic so I hope this different model is better than this one. This model deserves one star but the customer service is 5 Stars!
