Should last forever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cast iron skillet is destined to become an heirloom. It's well made and heavy duty (8 lbs.) so the helper handle is needed. I like the square shape which makes it easier to fry up my steaks. I also use it on the gas grill and it works perfectly as a flat top griddle for making smashburgers. It's not a smooth finish but it comes preseasoned and is essentially non stick if you keep it seasoned and treat it right. The company logo is stamped into the bottom of pan but it still sits flat on the stove.

Solid lightweight cast iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was quite surprised how lightweight this skillet is. The cast iron is a bit thinner than some, but is a fine trade off considering it's weight.
This skillet is shaped in such a manner where you can use either side to pour.
I do recommend seasoning before use.
I also recommend picking up a cast iron cleaner sponge so you don't damage it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trying to get some nice crispy potatoes, or bacon? This is your pan. It doesn't make the food stick easy, especially right of the bat. The well seasoned pan is easy to work with. Use it on the daily!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been cooking for a long time, and I've used a lot of different skillets over the years. But I've never used a skillet that I like better than the Bayou Classic 12 Inch Square Cast Iron Cooking Skillet Pan with Helper Handle.
This skillet is made of heavy-duty cast iron, so it's built to last. It can handle high heat and heavy use, and it's not going to warp or crack. The square shape is perfect for cooking large batches of food, and the helper handle makes it easy to move the skillet around in the kitchen.
I've cooked everything from pancakes to steaks in this skillet, and it's always turned out great. The cast iron distributes heat evenly, so my food cooks evenly and doesn't burn. The skillet also holds heat well, so I can keep my food warm while I'm serving it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This skillet is no joke. From the moment you pick it up, you can tell it is well crafted. It is of course very heavy! I jokingly handed it to my kids and they about fell over trying to hold it. The square design is aesthetically pleasing and unique. It seems to work very well, as you would expect from a cast iron skillet. It heats evenly and has created some delicious meals for us!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a rugged cast iron pan to use at our hunting lease. I liked the size and the high walls of this pan. It easily holds enough rolls, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and you name it for a hungry group of people, and evenly heats throughout the entire surface. I really appreciate this because I've other cast iron skillets that didn't. It has good weight and balance and I highly recommend this to anyone that likes the ease and durability of cooking in a cast iron skillet.
