I have never used a hydration pack, so I couldn't figure out how to make the mouthpiece work. I called customer service and they were very nice and said I just needed to slide the little gray tab down and that would work. Well silly me, they meant down as if I were wearing the pack. And try as I might I could not push the thing down, because I had it on my lap and in that case, down was up. This just needs a simple diagram on one of the tags showing the tab in the closed and opened position, with an action arrow pointing in the direction to push. Easy for me to say, probably won't ever appear. Rating is based on first impression compared to others I have looked at.
Have 2 larger High Sierra packs, wanted this one to wear while doing trail maintenance. Wanted something small and light. Don't really like the new tip that you need to push with your tongue. Makes it harder to drain and clean, prefer the style you bite.
Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Lightweight, small size for hikes with no gear needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new hydration pack because my previous High Sierra one I had for yearsss got stolen, (it was time to part anyway). I wanted one that wasn't as bulky as my previous one and this is perfect! Definitely not bulky, so it limits what I can bring and has a 2L bladder. I love that I can fit my keys, wallet, and a small book and it's still so lightweight. I got the crimson one hoping it would be more coral, but it's definitely red and it grew on me.
Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality, Lightweight
We bought 2 of these for our family mountain biking adventures. I had a Camelbak previously but the value is equatable at a much lower price point! Exactly what we were looking for!
I like this a lot, works great! I’ve had another hydro pack from this company for years and loved it. The water reservoir is 2L, which is what it says in the description. The bottom straps are a little tricky to loosen. And it’s a little tricky to close the water reservoir without getting water everywhere.
