After 6 months of research I chose Ghost bed because it seemed to match up well with many of its competitors in terms of quality and structure but ghost bed offers a much more attractive price tag, approx $400 less on average ... I was immediately impressed after receiving my new bed only 3 days after ordering it! That was amazing. I've had it for 2 months now and the first few weeks were good, (probably because my body was so happy to be rid of my super cheap spring mattress that I had been sleeping on..) But going into my 3rd month has proved to be challenging. I am a side sleeper, and am waking up with pretty bad hip pain. Now, I will be fair to ghost bed and honest to those reading my review who are trying to decide on this mattress; I am about 300 lbs, which ghost bed states it can support... but I am tossing and turning like never before. I wake up very sore and achy. Everyone kept telling me I needed a firmer mattress because of my constant back pain but this one, even though it is memory foam, is just too firm for me. It does slowly conform to your body as you lay on it, which is nice, but it just doesn’t soften up enough to my liking. My biggest issue/ dislike is the lack in edge support, which is very common for memory foam beds. However, regardless of weight, it is almost impossible to sit at the edge of this mattress without sliding right off.. Even my very thin 7 year old daughter sunk off the edge. I prefer platform style beds because of how much I sit on mine so this just doesn’t work for me. I read tons and tons of positive reviews on this mattress which is what made me confidant to purchase it, and they can’t all be fake reviews, so I’m sure for many people, this bed is amazing, it just isn’t working for me. I plan to try a hybrid that is a mixture of coils and memory foam to provide that edge support I like and hopefully add some bounce to the bed ! I also ordered 2 ghost pillows which smelled great, not too strong like some reviews stated, but I wish they were longer. I love king size pillows because I sleep with one arm under my pillow and these are just too petite to really get comfortable with.
On a positive note, if you are still uncertain, I will give you some positive things to think about, customer service is awesome; always available to answer questions, friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Like I mentioned before, shipping is lightning speed fast! Many other companies were 2-3 weeks for delivery; I literally got this bed in 3 days. Once you get it out of the box and plastic wrap, it does the rest for you. It is very heavy so let it open up on the bed frame! But it is pretty much ready to sleep on within an hour. Also, it did not have that new mattress odor at all which made me happy. My favorite part: the 100 day trial. I would have never ordered something that I spend 8 hours a night on without being able to test it to be sure it’s right, so I am very grateful to ghost bed for this option… sad it didn’t work out but appreciate the opportunity to give it a try!
In my final opinion this bed is made for people of average weight who tend to mostly sleep on their back.

Pretty darn good sleep

Over all the bed is pretty comfortable. Is it life changing no, but I do feel like i get a good night sleep. My biggest complaint is it does get hot. I've had a couple nights of waking up in the middle of the night sweating like crazy. Sleeping with the fan on seems to help. Over all I'm pretty happy with it.

My fiancé and I are polar opposites, I like firm and he likes mushy. I did 2 months of research on beds, because we couldn't agree on one after 2 days of trying. Ghostbed had the best reviews to fit opposites like us. He was VERY skeptical, but just overheard him tell someone he loves it! We bought the king base, mattress and protector. It was easily put together. We slept on it that night. Highly recommended!

This mattress protector is great. It does not compromise the feel of the ghost bed mattress. No plastic feeling. Protects our mattress and keeps it cool at the same time!
