Very dissatisfied with this canoe. Bought 2 years ago and been used about 10 times. I've always been meticulous with cleaning before packing up. Noticed the last couple of uses each side is deflating. I have found 4 pinholes one side, 3 in the other and 1 in each seat. No damage is visible even with magnify glass, just looks like faulty material. Intex say they have a 90day warranty so didn't even bother to approach them. I would never recommend or buy this product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really quic setup but...

Just got that kayak and unpack it on the room. I was surprised how fast and simple is to set it up. I just read few reviews before buying and was able to set it up (and unpack all plastic) under 10 minutes. Everything is simple and seems strudy enought to serve long time. The only cons I have before I realy got wet is about pump and presure gauge. You need to insert pump to fill kayak and then remove the pump and insert presure gauge to check result. Is little bit anyonig. The presure gauge should be attached all the time. And the junction of pump hose and boat valve are pretty leaky. They leak if hose is not in "just" right position. Also inflating seats are near imposible as you need to hold valve with one hand and pump with other hand. And when hose is removed near all the air goes out before Im able to plug the hole.

Good for short term use, bad for long term use

I bought this product as an upgrade from Intex's Explorer K2 as they claim this version is more sturdy and durable. Unfortunately, that has turned out not to be true as I have been patching small holes pretty much since I got it. Now, it seems after just at two years it is done as the interior seam has split open about an inch. I'll try to patch it, but just wish Intex made something that was truly durable.
So, not a bad product for short-term use, but don't expect long term use out of it.

Great Except for the Velcro
on July 5, 2019

I love this kayak so far. No issue. 55 pumps in each chamber and ready to go. BUT the velcro to attach the seat to the bottom of the boat is set up bass ackwards. Why put the harsh side of the velcro facing up. No matter how you place the seats it will not be completely covered. I've already scratched my leg and ruined a brand new bathing suit. If I had seen this kayak in person I WOULD NOT have purchased. This may sound petty but why not put the rough side on the under of the seat where it won't be a nuisance? I'll go out and buy a strip of velcro to cover it but I shouldn't have to modify a boat of this cost and otherwise overall quality. Disappointed!

High Hopes

On the third use had a hole so one tube didn't want to hold air. You would think it would be on the bottom from rocks or dragging it but it was on the upper part of the left tube at the back so probably the last place you would expect. Kind of useless now when you are worried about going more than a few hundred feet from where you launch just in case it springs another leak.

Excursion Pro Kayak good value overall
on October 22, 2020
Posted by: Quality material
Pros: -This kayak is made of strong material, it can take a lot of abuse and still hold up, it won't puncture easily. -Carrying handles on the 2 ends work great -Nice that it comes with paddles and a pump
Cons: -It's too narrow, I'm quite skinny and I still feel slightly squished in it. -The seats don't have nearly enough support. Most inflatables I've seen are like this, but being Intex's best inflatable model I think they can do better. The seat back easily folds over and collapses if you lean back a little, so it's just not supportive enough to be out for a quarter or half day. They need a rigid bar or panel or something to support the back. -Having 2 outer chambers to fill with air, it would be much better if both chambers went all the way around the boat so that if one fails you won't sink, but 1 chamber is the left side, 1 is the right side, so if one fails you'd probably sink, or close to it. -You can't blow more air into the valves without the pump they provide, and it's a pain to carry that in the boat with you, so when you're out in it, if it needs more air, there's nothing you can do. -The paddles are low quality, doesn't bother me though.
Overall it's a good boat, worth the money, but a few changes would make it a whole lot better.

Check the Warranty

I was prepared to buy this until I realized it only has a 90 day warranty. I'll spend a tiny bit more to get something from a company that supports and stands behind their products. Too bad. Seems like exactly what I needed!

Excursion Pro Kayak
on August 26, 2019

I have a couple of Intex Mariner 3 boats so I bought one of these kayaks to float a river. I have floated this river several times using hard shell kayaks, so I have some experience with kayaks and the river. Getting the kayak ready to use was fairly easy. I set this up to uses as a single person kayak. Shorty after getting started I knew I had made a mistake. This kayak doesn't track well at all, doesn't respond well when trying to turn, drifts sideways, and takes way to much effort to paddle, and the backrest is practically worthless. It also doesn't do well with even a small amount of wind as you will be blown way off course or even backwards. You might have the same control as if you paddling an air mattress. It was awful. I will never use this again. If you still want one, you can have mine. However, the quality of the materials is quite good and looks kind of cool. Also, the paddles are way to short. Save you money.
