So easy to use. Very flat to the phone. Cannot use a MagSafe charger with it on though and I thought that was supposed to work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’m really enjoying the profile and colors. Just got it last week, so I haven’t used. As much as I would but it works perfectly with car MagSafe holder and charger

So disappointing.

I’ve had the snap 3 & 4. And I’ve loved it each. The 4 was an improvement on 3 (openable with a single hand and better materials). I loved that it was the only grip (that I knew of) that you could charge thru. Plus magnets so I could just pop it anywhere metal - like my fridge while doing dishes. I wished that it was removable cuz I like switching up my cases. 5 came out and it was hot-swapable. Woohoo. But now my phone gets hot when qi charging with the 5. And if I put my phone on the fridge, I watch it slide down my fridge - the magnets aren’t strong enough for the phones weight even without a case. Do yourself a favor. Find a retailer that still sells snap 4. 5 ain’t worth it; it’s not an improvement.

Weak grip to metal constantly slides. Bought the first version. Thought I’d try the newest one with hopes magnet had become stronger. Unfortunately same issues persist years later.

Grip when open too small. And stopped locking closed after two weeks. Only thing nice is strong magnet and low profile.

Less Convenient than the Snap Grip 4

I’ve had every generation of the ohsnap grip from the elastic days, to the Grip 5. I’ve owned both the first and second gen snap charge as well. I’m honestly disappointed that I feel like the compatibility between chargers and grips keep changing. When the newer snap grips came out, they were no longer compatible with the first snap charge. So I had to buy the newer snap charge (Qi2 with the glass face) as well to use with my car mount. My issue with the Snap Grip 5, is that I now have to remove the grip BEFORE putting the phone onto the wireless charger. If I keep the grip on, the phone slips off the mount super easily. So it’s not as convenient as just throwing the phone onto the snap charge as I previously did for years. I saw that the Snap Charge Qi2 looks like it had a slight update with a less slippery face, but I still doubt that the magnetic strength of the Snap Grip 5 will keep it on the charger as well as the Snap Grip 4.

Less stronger than older versions

I had the 1st, 3rd, 4th versions of the grip, and all of them had evolved to perfection until this 5th version. This 5th version is less strong than the previous versions. With this 5th version, the inner side magnet is a little bit weaker than the previous version. I used the 1st and 3rd versions without the adhesive. I removed the adhesive for those versions due to other accessories that I used in the past, and the magnet was strong enough to stay on even if someone hit my phone while I was holding it through the Grip. For the 4th version, I used it with the adhesive because I didn’t have the need to take out the Grip. The outer side magnet in the previous versions has been strong enough to hold my phone in the MagSafe stand that I have in my SUV. With the 5th, days ago I was driving using the same stand, and I took a road hole, and the phone went to the truck floor. My recommendation is that if you eliminate the adhesive in the Grip, include one adhesive as an accessory as an option for those who want to use it.
