Not many things these days are very creative and functional but this little device is a mixture of awesomeness. Good job, I look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Not a good as Snap 4

I have an iPhone 17 Pro and this new Snap 5 will not stay attached to metal surfaces. It will slide down as the magnets are not as strong as Snap 4 which I still have. Also on my MagSafe car mount the slightest pothole or bump and the phone goes flying because of the magnets. The Snap 4 does not do this and is firmly attached to the mount. Also the new soft coating on the ring is very fragile and scrapes off very easily and it isn’t anodized like the Snap 4 was. There needs to be some reengineering of the new Magnet ring and coating to make this product viable. Would suggest to still sell the Snap 4 until this is fixed.

Thin, cheap, and HOT when charging.

The thin, cheap plastic mechanism buckles when folding it in if you don't align it just right. The kickstand disc is thin, sharp, cheap feeling plastic too. Gets very HOT when charging! Going back to my old magnetic grip since I cant charge through this thing... which is the whole reason I bought this garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New vs old

I just got the snap 5 after having the last version for 2 years. I loved the last one and got the car mount with it, both of which were perfect. But this new snap 5 doesn’t not attach to the car mount very well. It’s tough to get it to line up unlike before and once it is lined up and attached it’s very loose. I’m pretty bummed.

Snap 5 is a step back

I'll be straight the new snaps suck in terms of grip to the phone and magnetic capability. Real world example: I have the snap stand with magnetic charger. I used to be able to adjust the position of the phone on the stand without the phone popping off and now it pops off with every attempt to adjust position. Seriously disappointed with my “upgrade”. Magnets are a downgrade.

I’m sold on these. I just purchased my second one after my first needed to retire after over a year. I love the thinness and pooping option. Originally it took a while to get used to, but I’ll never go back to the other brand!

Not what I expected

It's not charge through. The ad I saw said it was but apparently (unfortunately) they have removed that feature with the newer model. My charger is wireless so pretty much this thing has lived on my nightstand since I bought it because I don't remember to put it back on every morning after taking it off to charge my phone. It also feels pretty flimsy and the kickstand collapses or turns to drop my phone pretty much every time I use it. Definitely a regretful purchase.
